About Us

Axle Health builds scheduling and workforce management software to empower in-home healthcare providers to deliver exceptional, personalized care right where patients feel most comfortable—at home.

Some of the biggest providers in the country use our software (like Cityblock Health and GrandCare) to improve the utilization of their field teams by 17%+, and automate the operational burden of scheduling and dispatching.

Our platform includes proprietary logistics algorithms to optimize scheduling, a mobile app for field staff, an operations dashboard for office teams, engagement and booking tools for patients, and a wide range of integrations and external APIs for modular access.

We’re a team of top-tier engineers and operators, backed by $14m from top investors such as Y Combinator, Pear VC, and F-Prime, applying our intellect and logistics experience to upend how home healthcare is delivered.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our growing team and report to our Head of Product. In this role, you'll be the connective tissue between engineering, product, and our customers; managing complex, cross-functional initiatives that span product development, feature delivery, and customer implementations. You'll drive the execution of our product roadmap, coordinate across engineering teams, and ensure successful deployments for enterprise healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings deep experience in health tech or complex B2B SaaS environments, and has a proven track record of delivering technically sophisticated products while keeping diverse stakeholders aligned and informed.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end project delivery for strategic product initiatives, from roadmap planning through customer deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to organize complex, multi-team engineering deliverables, coordinating dependencies and removing blockers to maintain development velocity

  • Lead customer implementation project planning and timelines for enterprise healthcare organizations, working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to manage against key milestones and deliverables to ensure successful go-lives

  • Develop and maintain scalable detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies across multiple concurrent initiatives, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies

  • Establish and drive project management processes, rituals, and tooling that scale with our rapidly growing team, implementing best practices for sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders, creating clear, concise communications that highlight progress, risks, and key decisions needed

  • Build strong relationships with engineering, product, design, sales, and customer success teams to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow across the organization

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience at health tech companies or complex B2B SaaS organizations, with demonstrated success managing projects across multiple functions (customer, engineering, and product)

  • Experience managing multiple product lines and roadmaps with complex timelines and deliverables

  • Proficiency with agile/scrum methods for tracking, organizing and reporting development work including sprint planning and daily sprint reviews

  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and modern engineering practices including agile/scrum methodologies

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to influence without authority, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and navigate organizational complexity

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, including experience creating executive-level status reports, presenting to senior leadership, and managing customer-facing communications during implementations

  • Proficient with project management platforms and tooling, we use Linear

  • Experience working at an early stage startup during a high growth scale out

Nice to Haves

  • SCRUM Master or Agile Certifications

  • Direct experience with healthcare logistics, scheduling systems, field service management, or workforce management software platforms

  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC-2) and experience managing projects involving sensitive healthcare data and security protocols

  • Familiarity with modern web and mobile development frameworks (React, React Native, GraphQL) and technologies (TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS) used at Axle Health
