Job Summary:

As a Claims Representative, you have the unique and critical role of helping Clearcover customers during one of their most important moments while also protecting our bottom line. Our representatives are empathetic, patient, and love connecting with customers, but are also rockstars when it comes to completing a comprehensive and thorough claims investigation. You will be a decisive professional who excels at investigating coverage, determining liability, identifying potential fraud, and meticulously documenting your findings to ensure an accurate and swift resolution for our customers. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a guide for our customers through the physical damage claims process.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to confirm coverage, determine liability, evaluate damage, and negotiate the settlement of auto physical damage claims.
  • Proactively investigate for potential fraud and identify red flags during the claims process.
  • Meticulously document all aspects of the claim file, including customer interactions, investigations, and decisions, to support the claims outcome.
  • Leverage AI tools and other innovative technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in claim handling.
  • Manage the repair process, ensuring quality and timeliness for our customers.
  • Address customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and follow up to ensure the resolution of claims issues.
  • Contribute to process and product information in the team's Knowledge Base.
  • Keep fanatical records of customer interactions and file documents.
  • Deliver on Clearcover’s promise to our customers by actually solving their problems while adhering to service level guidelines and policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Florida-specific P&C adjuster license is required. Other states preferred; must be able to secure reciprocal licenses as needed.
  • Proven experience as a Claims Representative with a strong focus on auto physical damage.
  • Exceptional ability to investigate coverage and identify potential fraud.
  • Strong investigative skills for determining liability.
  • Decisive and confident in making claim decisions.
  • Excellent and thorough documentation skills.
  • Experience with and willingness to leverage AI tools and technology to enhance claim handling efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain friendly under pressure and resilient to negativity.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the business.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills, with the capability of writing with impact through email, text, or chat.
  • Strong active listening skills; able to communicate clearly through phone conversations.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of individuals.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proactively handle new claims while managing an active inventory, meeting KPIs and quality standards

Required Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of automobile physical damage claims experience required.
  • Experience with non-standard claims preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Environment:

  • Remote

Base Compensation Range:

  • $50,000 - $70,000 (USD) annually

Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per hour
