What will you do?

Claims Representative, Bodily Injury have the important and unique role of helping Clearcover customers during one of the moments that matters most: When they must file an insurance claim. Our Claims Representatives are empathetic, patient people who love connecting with and helping customers. Clearcover Claims Representatives remain calm under pressure, thrive on the challenge of turning frowns upside-down, and have a passion for creating lifelong customer relationships. Going above and beyond for a customer is our standard mode of operation, which has empowered Clearcover to drive customer satisfaction that far exceeds the P&C insurance industry standard.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of the damage, handling a blended assignment load of original estimates, supplements, and total loss valuations
  • Identify and document all visible and hidden damage, including structural, mechanical, and cosmetic issues.
  • Proactively communicate with vehicle owners, insurance adjusters, and repair facilities to discuss repair options and estimate details
  • Negotiate repair costs and timelines with repair facilities to ensure quality repairs are completed within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Review and analyze repair invoices to verify accuracy and compliance with estimate guidelines.
  • Provide timely updates to all stakeholders throughout the repair process, including status updates and any changes to the estimate.
  • Manage repairs and associated rental expenses to completion in a timely manner.
  • Resolve any disputes or discrepancies related to repair costs or claim settlements, including the negotiation of total loss related charges.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, repair techniques, and new vehicle technologies.

What do you need?

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive repair processes, including familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software such as Mitchell.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements

Nice to haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certification in automotive repair or related field is preferred.
  • 5 years prior experience as an auto damage appraiser, estimator, or in a similar role within the automotive or insurance industry.
  • Active adjuster’s license is required.

Base Compensation Range: $65,000 – $75,000 (USD) annually
