The Associate Partner Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our partnership goals by working side-by-side with our Strategic Partner Directors. Your primary objective will be to help drive sourced pipeline and ARR growth with our strategic partners, ensuring that day-to-day activities align with our overarching goals and that our partners have a best-in-class experience.

What you can do for Expel

  • Partner Support: Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners, managing inbound and outbound communications and coordinating with internal teams to ensure partner needs are met.
  • Drive Outcomes: Proactively manage and track partner activities, objectives and key results. You'll be responsible for follow-up and ensuring both parties meet their commitments.
  • Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Strategic Partner Directors to execute on partner business plans, prepare for partner meetings, and manage follow-up action items.
  • Analysis and Insight: Analyze channel sales data to identify trends, measure performance against quotas, and communicate strategic recommendations to the executive team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline partner operations and improve the overall partner experience.
  • Influence: Proven ability to influence and motivate partners at all levels, acting as a key evangelist for the Expel/partner joint value proposition.
  • Facilitate strategic account planning sessions and maintain an ownership mentality to nurture enduring, mutually beneficial partnerships

What you should bring with you

  • 2-5 years of technology sales experience, preferably in the Cybersecurity industry
  • Proficient in navigating the North American channel landscape, including VARs and Distributors, with experience in common partnership models (sell with, sell through, sell to)
  • Understanding of modern enterprise security products and familiarity with leading vendors in product categories like firewalls, endpoint detection and response, and SIEM
  • Capability of guiding partners through brief product demos
  • Expertise in owning the Reseller partner journey from recruitment to ongoing relationship management, ensuring success through training, enablement, and strategic planning (partner success plans, regional territory plan, and internal regional partner guide)
  • Strong problem-solving skills that create breakthrough solutions. Ability to drive innovation in partnership models and go-to-market strategies. Anticipates and prevents problems before they occur
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Bachelor’s, postgraduate degree or equivalent

Additional Notes

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

Our headquarters is in Herndon, Virginia, however our team is mostly remote, and we have full support for remote interaction. We realize that while there is benefit to in-person interaction, good people don’t all live in Northern Virginia.
