We are backed by top-tier VC and angel investors who are pioneers in digital health. The Role

Our Solutions Engineering team is the engine behind every successful brand launch on FrontrowMD. As we scale to thousands of DTC health brands, we're hiring a Solutions Engineer Lead to manage and grow our team of 3+ Solutions Engineers while remaining hands-on with our most complex and strategic implementations.

This is a player-coach role reporting to the Head of Customer Success. You'll spend the majority of your time leading the team — setting implementation standards, unblocking engineers, managing capacity and priorities, and owning team performance — while personally handling a portfolio of implementations for our larger or more technically complex partners.

You Will Be Responsible For…

Team Leadership (~60–70%)

  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team of 3+ Solutions Engineers, including regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Owning team-level outcomes: implementation velocity, time-to-launch, quality of live setups, and customer satisfaction across all implementations.
  • Building and refining the implementation playbook — standardizing technical setup processes, QA checklists, debugging workflows, and escalation paths so quality scales with headcount.
  • Managing team capacity and assignment logic as implementation volume grows, ensuring the right engineer is matched to the right brand.
  • Serving as the technical escalation point for the team on complex debugging, non-standard web environments, and edge-case integrations.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new Solutions Engineers as the team scales.
  • Partnering with the Head of Customer Success on team strategy, headcount planning, and how Solutions Engineering fits into the broader post-sale motion.

Hands-On Implementation (~30–40%)

  • Personally leading end-to-end implementation for our most strategic and technically complex brand partners — technical setup, brand communications, call coordination, debugging, and QA.
  • Executing live setups in customer web environments (typically Shopify), placing Clinician Badges, Clinician Reviews, and future products as the roadmap expands.
  • Serving as a trusted technical advisor for a portfolio of high-value accounts post-implementation.

Cross-Functional Impact

  • Aggregating implementation friction and customer feedback across the team, and relaying structured insights to Product and Engineering to shape roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborating with Customer Success and Product to ensure badges render optimally across diverse storefront environments.
  • Championing tooling and automation opportunities that reduce implementation time and manual QA burden.
You Are…
  • An experienced Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Account Manager who has managed or mentored other engineers — or a proven senior IC ready to step into formal management.
  • A player-coach at heart: you get energy from making your team successful, but you never want to be so far from the work that you lose technical credibility.
  • Highly organized, able to juggle team management, your own implementations, and a rapidly growing customer base without dropping balls.
  • An excellent communicator who can translate technical concepts into simple, actionable steps for both customers and your own team.
  • Someone who thrives without micromanagement — you self-motivate, and you build teams that do the same.
  • Ready to be scrappy at a fast-moving startup, acting as a thought-partner to leadership as we scale.
At the Minimum, Technically You'll Need…
  • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, implementation engineering, or client-facing technical roles.
  • 1+ years of formal people management experience, or demonstrated team leadership (mentoring, leading implementations across a pod, owning team processes).
  • Deep proficiency in CSS and HTML, including responsive design.
  • Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with modern frameworks (ReactJS & TypeScript) for troubleshooting customer environments.
  • Strong understanding of how APIs and websites work (single and multi-page apps/sites).
  • Experience with Shopify/Liquid, NextJS, and Ruby on Rails is a bonus.
  • Experience building implementation playbooks, QA processes, or technical documentation is a strong plus.
What You'll Gain & Why You'll Love Working Here…
  • Venture backed by top-tier firms.
  • Competitive salary + benefits, along with a stake in the company.
  • The opportunity to build and lead a team at the next digital health rocketship.
  • The chance to scale a unique, first-to-market solution in a booming industry.
  • A once-in-a-lifetime role growing something that makes a difference in the world.
