Our partner is a high-growth, venture-backed AI infrastructure startup building tools that help engineering teams simulate, validate, and deploy complex AI systems with greater reliability. The company has surpassed $1M in annual recurring revenue and is growing rapidly, supporting dozens of customers across both enterprise and emerging technology companies. With a small, highly technical team and strong early traction, they are in the process of building their go-to-market function from the ground up.

The Opportunity

Our partner is hiring a Founding Account Executive to play a critical role in shaping and scaling their early sales motion. This is a full-cycle role where you will work directly with leadership to convert inbound and product-led (self-serve) demand into mid-market and enterprise deals.

The role requires someone comfortable selling technical products to technical buyers, such as Heads of Engineering and AI leaders. Success in this role comes from clearly understanding customer pain points, communicating product value in a straightforward, consultative way, and navigating multi-stakeholder deals. This is an opportunity to join early, build foundational sales processes, and grow into a senior role as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial qualification through close
  • Convert product-led and inbound interest into qualified opportunities and closed deals
  • Conduct discovery calls and product demos with technical stakeholders
  • Manage multiple deals simultaneously and drive them to close efficiently
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and insights
  • Contribute to the development of early sales playbooks and processes
  • Support outbound efforts and account-based strategies as needed

Requirements

  • 1–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, developer tools, or infrastructure products
  • Experience selling to technical stakeholders (e.g., engineering leaders, technical buyers)
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts such as APIs and AI-related workflows
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
  • Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco
