Strategic Project Lead (SPL)
Location: San Francisco (in-person)
Industry: AI / Human Data / Data Operations
About the Company
Our partner is one of the fastest-growing companies in AI, operating at the center of the human data layer that powers frontier models. They partner with leading AI labs to build, evaluate, and scale high-quality datasets using networks of domain experts across fields like law, medicine, and engineering. With strong revenue traction and a high-growth environment, they are building the operational backbone behind real-world AI performance.
The Role
As a Strategic Project Lead, you will own end-to-end execution of large-scale human data projects. This includes sourcing and managing expert networks, designing and improving data workflows, ensuring quality and delivery, and working directly with AI researchers. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment where you are accountable for outcomes, not just recommendations.
This is a hands-on operator role — not strategy or product. You’ll be in the weeds solving problems, managing stakeholders, and driving projects that directly impact how frontier AI systems are trained and evaluated.

- 0–5 years of experience in consulting, banking, startups, or technical roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear, structured communication and executive presence
- Proven ability to operate under pressure and tight timelines
- Willingness to work in a high-intensity, in-person environment
- Authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship)
