About the role

This role is the leader of the payments teams and responsible for setting the team’s key goals and objectives, as well as the Company’s payments strategy. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with the leadership of the Company internally, and key external partners to own, transform, and evolve how the Company responds to the future demands in the payments space.

About the team

The team is responsible for delivering best in class payments solutions to meet both our customers, partners, and business needs. The payments team operates both as a shared service, and as a cross-functional, mission-aligned team (MAT). This structure empowers the team to partner with leaders across the business to drive strategy, and contribute to product development with the ultimate goal of increasing the likelihood of positive, profitable transactions.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Team Leadership: Hire/Manage team to develop best-in-class payments capabilities. Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative, engaging, and innovative work environment. Promote continual learning, professional growth, and development within the team.

  • Establish the strategy for the Company’s payments capabilities, seeking to achieve higher conversion, lower costs, and/or other business objectives that improve Company financial metrics, and customer satisfaction

  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for payments, providing guidance and support to internal teams

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.

  • Leading cross-functional Initiatives: collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payments solutions into business processes and systems.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience leading complex, cross-functional payments initiatives on a global scale, with at least 5 years working in fintech or related financial industry

  • Proven success managing global payment processing relationships across a diverse set of products

  • Demonstrated excellence as a strategic thinker who can put plans into action to achieve mutually agreed upon goals in a fast-paced professional environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
