Join Our Team as an Social Media Specialist at Team Liquid Indonesia!

Do you enjoy fast-paced environments tied to live esports events? Are you interested in shaping a brand’s voice through real-time and planned content? Would you like to work closely with local, regional, and global teams? If so, you could be a great fit for the Social Media Specialist role we have available at Team Liquid.

In this role, you will help bring Team Liquid Indonesia’s digital presence to life by executing localized social media strategies across major platforms, balancing strong local relevance with alignment to Team Liquid’s regional and global brand standards.

This role is hands-on and fast-paced, contributing to esports tournaments, brand campaigns, sponsor activations, and community initiatives through planned and real-time content, community engagement, and performance reporting. You’ll work closely with esports teams, marketing partners, and Global HQ to drive audience growth and consistent brand execution.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Content & Calendar:

    1. Own TLID's social media presence across IG, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, Discord, and Facebook

    2. Build and maintain the content calendar with at least a 2-month runway, covering content types, key moments, and sponsor deliverables

    3. Create content pillars and strategy for daily posts and tournament-day content throughout the MLBB season

    4. Proactively source content moments beyond scheduled posts: player personalities, trends, and cultural moments worth jumping on same-day

    5. Capture and publish content in both Bahasa Indonesia and English in the team's voice

    6. Develop and maintain brand voice guidelines so any new team member knows what on-brand sounds like on day one

  • Match Day & Events:

    1. Run match day content operations: pre-match content locked the day before, in-match reactive content during broadcast, post-match turnaround same night

    2. Handle solo hands-on capture on match days when needed (photos, short clips, behind-the-scenes)

    3. Plan and lead social coverage for international events (e.g. EWC), including content prepared ahead of travel

  • Briefs & QC:

    1. Write briefs for designers and editors that are clear enough to execute without a follow-up call

    2. QC all content before publish: copy, mobile preview, caption length, hashtags, CTA, scheduling

    3. Execute sponsor and brand deliverables within the content calendar

    4. Coordinate with players, talent, brand ambassadors, and community for content creation and campaigns

  • Ranking & Reporting

    1. Track the MPL social media ranking weekly. Identify where we're losing ground to specific teams and adjust the content plan to close those gaps

    2. Produce the weekly social media performance report and log all post URLs in our project management system

    3. Run post-publish analysis: figure out what actually went wrong (or right) beyond just "it got low reach"

    4. Track team output against weekly content targets and flag risks before they become misses

  • Team Management

    1. Manage and develop the graphics/content team that reports to you: set direction, assign work, and keep their workload balanced against deadlines

    2. Lead and coordinate direct reports across design, content, and production tasks

What You’ll Need:

  • Direct experience managing social media for an MLBB or esports organization

  • Understanding of the MPL social media ranking system and what it takes to move a team up

  • Proven track record growing social accounts (followers, engagement, competitive ranking)

  • Multi-platform fluency: you know the difference between what works on TikTok vs IG Reels vs YouTube Shorts, and you don't just cross-post

  • Match day content experience: you've worked game days in esports or sports and know the cadence (pre-match, live, post-match)

  • Experience coordinating with editors, designers, and videographers to produce content

  • Experience leading or coordinating direct reports

  • Reporting discipline: you track numbers weekly, not just when someone asks

  • Comfort working directly with players and talent for content

  • Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and strong written English

  • Available to work weekends through the season (match days run Friday to Sunday)

  • Based in Jakarta and able to work on-site

Additional Requirements:

The nature of our games may require flexibility in working hours. The successful candidate should be prepared to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure the success of our events.
