Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and scale interoperability between Tempus and external partner systems e.g. Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Lab Information Systems (LIS), Health Information Exchange (HIE)
Lead and collaborate with our Launch engineers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders.
Ability to translate business needs into solutions and clearly communicate any steps involved.
Investigate and resolve complex issues in partnership connections with teams cross-functionally, both internal and external.
Create and update playbooks used by Launch engineers to onboard new customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a lead or mentor for a software development team.
Ability to interpret and write FHIR and HL7, specifically in the context of Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).
Strong programming skills (Python or similar) and familiarity with APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, data pipelines.
Experience with GCP, including BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Good communication and organization skills
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with BI/visualization platforms (Looker)
Experience working in a clinical organization
Experience with genomic data

NYC: $145,000-$195,000
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
